Sorry if this differs from your opinion, but I didn’t like it.
I didn’t hate it, but it was really boring 4 me.
Then again I don’t like found footage films.
Besides that I guess it’s a step up from the 1st? The graphics are better, and some of the clips are better filmed, but I was more interested with the 1st one, it was more captivating.
I had to force myself to finish this one :p
While I was definitely captivated/interested until the end, v/h/s 2 is definitely not as good as the first. I thought it had some wonderful moments, but it falls short for the reasons you described. “Found footage” movies have become very derivative… Though there are some great ones, I believe the gimmick has ruined some otherwise brilliant movies (Frankenstein’s Army). I hope horror filmmakers find a new device soon.
